engineering peak performance from the inside out.

Train the internal mechanics that support clarity, endurance, and control under pressure.
Dangerous by Design teaches grapplers how to use physiology as a real performance advantage.

Grappling forces the body into situations most sports never touch. High pressure, limited space to breathe, rapid transitions, and sustained tension all challenge the internal systems that support timing, clarity, strength, and endurance. No matter the style — wrestling, judo, jiu-jitsu, or submission grappling — the ability to stay composed and effective under intensity comes down to more than technique alone.

Most athletes train their skills and conditioning. But very few train the systems underneath those skills: the way the body manages stress, organizes movement, maintains awareness, and recovers between high-demand moments. When these systems are trained intentionally, everything on top of them improves. You move better. You think faster. You stay in control longer. You feel more capable in situations that used to overwhelm you.

Dangerous by Design exists to train this internal foundation. It gives grapplers a way to develop performance from the inside out — so whatever style you practice, and wherever you are in your journey, your body can support the way you want to fight.

Series 1

Pressure Proof

Pressure Proof is the first eight week training series inside Dangerous by Design. This session focuses on the internal mechanics that influence how you handle the moments every grappler recognizes: fast pace, heavy pressure, limited space to breathe, rising heart rate, and the split-second decisions that make or break a round.

Instead of relying on conditioning alone, Pressure Proof teaches you how to work with the systems that directly shape your performance under intensity. You will learn how your body responds to pressure, how to stay clear when tension builds, and how to access more stability, control, and endurance during demanding exchanges. These skills create a foundation that supports every style of grappling and every level of athlete.

Pressure Proof is practical, approachable, and designed to translate immediately onto the mat. Whether you are newer in your journey or have years of training behind you, this series gives you tools to stay organized and capable in situations that usually create fatigue, panic, or rushed decisions.

Your Coach

Jen Thomas is a Human Performance Specialist who trains the neurological and physiological systems that drive clarity, endurance, and adaptability under pressure. Her approach integrates respiratory mechanics, neurophysiology, movement science, and strength and conditioning to give grapplers access to performance capacities that traditional training often overlooks. Jen’s work focuses on the internal architecture of performance — how the brain and body organize breath, tension, awareness, and recovery during high-intensity demands.

With nearly three decades of competitive athletic experience, including high school wrestling and direct training in both judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Jen understands grappling from the inside out. She bridges that lived experience with advanced study in the systems that govern performance, offering athletes a perspective rarely taught in combat sports. Her coaching is practical, precise, and designed to create immediate, measurable shifts in how athletes move, think, and perform under pressure.
